National Junior Honor Society

CEC WINDSOR Middle School is pleased to announce the establishment of the National Junior Honor Society for our 2020-2021 seventh and eighth grade students.

The National Junior Honor Society Chapter of CEC WINDSOR Middle School is a duly chartered and affiliated chapter of this prestigious national organization. Membership is open to those students who meet the required standards in five areas of evaluation: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Standards for selection are established by the national office of NJHS and have been revised to meet our local chapter needs.

Students are selected to be members by a five member Faculty Council, appointed by the principal, which bestows this honor upon qualified students on behalf of the faculty of our school each April. Students currently in grades six and seven are eligible for membership. The students must meet the following academic criterion: a cumulative GPA of 3.5 (from the sixth grade) for eligibility in their seventh-grade year and (from sixth and seventh grade) for eligibility in their eighth-grade year.

Students may access applications for CEC WINDSOR NJHS on the Windsor Counseling Teams channel, from Mr. Molinari, from Mr. Walz, or download it from the CEC WINDSOR website. Applications and recommendations are due April 20, 2020. Students or parents who have questions regarding the selection process or membership obligations may contact the Chapter Advisors, Mr. Molinari or Mr. Walz, by email at molinari@coloradoearlycolleges.org or walz@coloradoearlycolleges.org respectively.
